1. The quietest switch I have used is libertouch, but it is not linear and by some standards isn't even a mechanical switch. Linear mattias is very quiet for a "mechanical' switch but not as quiet.
2. Kailh choc and Cherry ML are the most common ones, there are a whole slew of others tho like Topre short-throw etc
3. Depends on implementation, can't answer

Low actuation point + silent -> scissor switches

Cherry MX Low profile and Kailh Choc are the only mechanical low profile switches with any support (MX low profile uses MX caps, but unique pin layout so it needs a custom PCB, while choc uses unique keycaps but normal MX footprint).

As for optical vs magnetic no idea, both seem really cool.
