Typing Tips

O.K., so I'm alright at typing, like a normie. I don't fully utilise "correct technique", not that that particularly matters to me, but jumping between keyboards over the past few months has slowed me down a good bit, increased my error rate and has highlighted some bad habits I know I have. I realise that, as I type a lot on any given day for work, I should probably make a concerted effort to "clean up" my technique and attempt to do this while at the very least maintaining my distinctly average typing speed.

My question is, are there any tips any of you can offer me outside of spending a bit of time each week on a typing test and possibly staying on the same keyboard? One of the tips that I have picked up on here, in reference to using Topre boards, of which I am a big fan, is to try and relax. I found this useful as it makes typing more enjoyable.

I'm not looking at breaking any world records here, I just want to improve, even a little.

When my kids were in school the advice was to cover the hands and keyboard with a black handkerchief for daily practice sessions.

Cheap and non-destructive.

I like it. Not sure how conducive to my work flow that'll be but I'll give it a go.
