Remapping > < key on Omnikey Ultra T

I am trying to make it so the dedicated greater than less than key is remapped to super, but when I check the scancodes all it is doing is pressing the comma or period key, and pressing shift. This makes me think its not possible to remap it? I am using a soarers converter and have never remapped keys before. Also, if there's any solution to do this on the software side that would also work, but I don't see how I can do anything without also remapping my comma key. For reference I am on linux. Any help appreciated, thanks :D

edit: for clarity the scan codes that I see when pressing the key are +E1, -E1, +36, -36. These correspond to LSHIFT, and comma.

I’ve remapped a key like that on Focus keyboards using Auto Hot Key in windows. It was pretty straightforward. I think there’s an equivalent method on a Mac. Even though it maps to comma it should still have a unique scan code and can be remapped.
