Please post your wish-list what we should bring to the party!

For sure, I will bring all the prizes you could have won if you participated in the wiki contest!

I bring at least some KeyTronic stuff.

Hope to get it cleaned by then ...

List:
- Key Tronic stuff

Looks good!

Would you have any switches that are not universally considered awful, but do feature something weird:
sharply increasing resistance after the activation point, as to 'block' bottoming out; imagining something like a Black Alps, only with the tactile and activation points moved down, and where the tactile point instead of being a wall to break through is more of a small wall that hits your finger immediately after activation?

Doesn't sound really clear, now does it.. Ehhhrm, something with an interestingly different take on key-action that is still semi-easily obtainable without emptying piggybanks?

Does not sound clear, no. But I will bring some Alps stuff.

I will also bring some Tipros, maybe I can sell some of them.

I am currently trying to organize a way to attend that I can afford...Worst case, I could send a few things along with 7bit, if he doesn't mind.

yes. :P

7b, Alps are cool, but I'm guessing MrInterface has most of those already; so anything with special switches is awesome!
I'll try explaining my could-theoretically-be-ideal-switch again: a switch that has it's resistance increasing sharply after actuation, but not so sharp as to actually feel like bottoming out (that would be a very sharp increase in resistance).

I'm guessing no, but I'll tell after I've received them from 7b.
You like 'em?

Most of my Alps are.... Erm..... Let's say, they regretfully ceased to be in order to be able to share the mechanical keyboard experience....

I'm big on switches though. Last time I counted I've got 22 different kinds :ugeek:

Where it gets scary is when I multiply that number with 100 ( average number of switches on a board )

The Industrial Mini? It's the same. But gray/green.

I'm sure there are German military outfits in the same shade.

And DO NOT FORGET THE COINS!

I'm quite sure I've got more kinds of tswitches than you!

10 different Cherry alone, 2 type Alps, 3 Key Tronic, 2x IBM, ... OK, maybe not. :-(

This would be nice to see in real:

What where these for?

And those 2:

ps: I like how it says fragile on the fragile looking box.

Hmm not sure if I want to go through all the trouble of deconstructing the datachair to have the precious go through travel to be fingered by a dozen guys with their FILTHY PAWS. But all other keyboards should be fine.

We will wash our fingers before we touch them!

What? You only have ONE????????

I'll get a big bottle of precious hand cleaning fluid....

What kind of vintage switches do you have around MrInterface? I could bring some but I don't have anything really fancy so you probably have everything I have anyway.

Icarium, what vintage switches do you have?
I got most kinds of Alps, monterey blue, Fujitsu peerless, acer black.

I'll make a list after breakfast. :)

A Topre.

And would anyone attending have 'too many sturdy keyboardboxes' by any chance? Rajapack seems like the right type, but I'm not mentally ready to get me 40 of those...

by Mrinterface
Topre : I got a HHKB2 , I use it for work.
Someone else bring a realforce( mine vanished in my all consuming quest for switch try bags ), since those things are plate mounted and they make a big difference in Topre feel.

@off : I can give you some of my own keyboard boxes -> I just collected them when someone sent me a keyboard. I got a whole stash now that I don't really need so I finally got a chance to clear some of my attic! :-)

Posted: 12 Jun 2012, 14:11

It would be good if someone could bring a type-s HHKB. They do feel a bit different/better than the regular one.

Posted: 12 Jun 2012, 14:16
by Mrinterface
Yeah, a silent one would be nice to be simulatored as well!

I recently purchased a hhkb lite 2. Wondering what that feels like. ( it's in the mail... )

Posted: 12 Jun 2012, 14:22
by fossala
I would bring mine but I'm not going :(
IIRC HHKB lites are worse than the avarge rubber dome.
