INTEREST CHECK : 925-Sterling Silver Escape-key

For this to even happen:
At least 1000 grams of re-cycled 925-Sterling silver
needs to be melted (and a mould created), resulting in 200 to 250 caps .
(Pure silver is to soft, the plan is to approximate the texture of Cherry DS-caps, but longer-lasting )

I know a guy (blablabla) ..
So, we don't have to pay insane prices for the mould and the caps will have
a proper (licensed) silver-smiths stampings !

Price : Most likely somewhere in the neighbourhood of 'Stupid' :)
Like a new windowed Cherry-cap from a G80-2100 or the like .

I have no idea how much a windowed cherry cap is worth, could you put a number on it? :P

Also, what is special at the 925 sterling silver, and what benefit offers a silver-smiths stampings?

Yeah we can take off the caps and show them off to all our friends. I can just imagine it when showing off down the local pubs..

"I can bench 120kg b*tches!"

"Oh yeah? F*k that, my keyboard has caps of solid silver!"

..925 Sterling silver, with silversmiths STAMPINGS! Beat that!

Obviously less than that:

since it didn't sell.

I am interested in this and the Titanium Spacebar thread at GH too. Also Hanzo Steel because it will SING when I thwack the spacebar.

In general I am ALWAYS interested in bling until I see the price.

But(t) then : ABS isn't a 'precious metal' .

Regarding '925 Sterling Silver' :
Wiki is quite good (and trustworthy) on factual matters like these ..
What it means is :
The material the cap is made of is guaranteed to be Silver of the stated (stamped) purity .
If the Silver-smith who placed the stamp was dishonest in any way : He goes to prison !
In general I am ALWAYS interested in bling until I see the price.
I've never seen 'ABS' on the 'precious metals-markets', have you ?

longweight: You should get a whole keyboard of them !

So you'll have zinc, alu and silverĀ !

Ha! No zinc soon as I am selling them, TITANIUM SPACEBAR is next on my hit list!

titanium would be frickin awesome. The price for silver is too damn high. But I'm afraid a titanium spacebar wouldn't be much cheaper as well.

Oh, porcelain would be amazing. Or just some nice ceramics. Just need to make them such that they are not too porous and get dirty. But the feel should be amaaaaazing.
