everyone should go yyyy/mm/dd. It's the international standard.

My ISO M from 1993 uses yyyy-mm-dd, but my old 122-key terminal M from 1986 uses dd-mm-yyyy. Both were UK-made.

And that's why I was saying in IRC, get the right socket, get the lid off, read what's on the chips.

If anything's later than 8606 or so, it's December.

Same with UK model F AT's. mine is 21 Apr 1987 so no confusion there. dd-mm-yyyy

Look at individual chips on the controller.

If you don't see stuff in an "85nn" (numbers will likely be closer to 8552 than 8501, but who knows, I've seen some OLD chips on some boards - IIRC my beam spring was made in 1979, and has chips with 76nn date codes) or "86nn" (if numbers are above 8609, your board has either had the controller replaced or was made in December) format, just post what all the chips say.

Well, given the label format, I'd say that's pretty conclusive.

Hi RougeRambo,

That's quite a find. It looks in pretty good shape for such an early model. Can you tell me where you got it from? I've been searching for a silver label UK Model M for years, without success.

Thanks
