SP Color Chooser

I've found very hard to pick the right color combo looking at the picture of the Signature Plastics ABS colors, so I decided to build a quick n dirty tool to help me picking the double shot colors.

You can find it here http://lab.cubiq.org/kbcc/ tested on Chrome and Firefox only. There are many things that I might add, but as I said it's just a quick tool to find the color combo and the SP color code (you always have to double check with the color ring). If you find it useful and think it is worth expanding I'll post it on github and I'll keep developing it.

If you want to help, I need a high def scan/picture of the color ring. The one on SP site is high def but colors are off, I did my best to adjust them but the bottom row especially has very bad highlighting.

PS: Now you'll tell me that a tool like that already exists and it's 100 times better and I wasted my time and blah blah blah... who cares, this is my version :P

PPS: should this go in "Workshop"?

I will dig out the colors in question and do some sample shots.

yes I'll work on that. I also want to add alpha/mods colors. I have to add the missing colors first and I'm trying to find a decent algorithm for reordering colors (by hue, lightness, saturation) but I can't seem to find a good one.

Also, having a setting for mod colors would be real cool.

And a numpad!

Cool tool. Unfortunate that many will now be posting screenshots of it with vomit inducing combinations

What's up with the unknown colors? There are UKNW1 and UNKN2 through UNKN5.

Unfortunately, I can't read the code in the color chip. Also colors ending with -XX are suspicious

update

now you can choose mods and alpha colors

http://lab.cubiq.org/kbcc/#GFW,WA,UNKN4,WA

you may need to refresh a couple of times to kill browser cache.

hint: you can switch from MODS to ALPHA with the Spacebar.

PS: actually that color combo is pretty sexy

Couple of thoughts:

A) If anyone actually makes a keyboard with one of those colour cases, I'm putting them in the loony bin
B) You might want a third radio button to set both main and modifier keys together

Obviously one day you'll be able to set colours by key group (function keys à la BBC Micro/A3010; WASD; arrows; non-alphanumeric (what you call "mods", but they're not all modifiers)), or arbitrarily. Maybe a "Gimmeh RGB mods" button :-)
