Top-of-the-line Bluetooth-compatible keyboard?

What is the best option for an awesome keyboard that would work well with a desktop that would also connect to a smartphone via bluetooth so I can sling it in a bag and take it with me? Anything like that available? I guess I'd want it to be compact as well, ideally.

You're in luck. There is precisely one Bluetooth mechanical keyboard on the market. The Filco Minila Air.

Otherwise, Bluetooth boards are domes, domes, domes. The Air is the first good one.

that's not all...
Matias Mini Quiet Bluetooth, KBTalking Pro v1.1 are also BT mechanical keyboards.
These exist already longer than the Minila Air.

Ah, I forgot about the Matias. Good catch, CeeSA. Oddly enough, the KBT is a full size keyboard. Strange choice for travelling…

The Matias is a much more sensible size. Not my cup of tea, style-wise, but it's got great switches.

Well, some people love them, let's put it that way!
The ultimate top of the line Bluetooth keyboard would be a BT HHKB. Once that comes out, this discussion becomes about price instead of compromises.

also a wireless FC660 would be nice. actually wondering if I could take a minila air controller and put it into the fc660... mmmmmmh

the M variant not the C (ie: the MX not the Topre). Switching controller from MX to Topre would be impossible.

Ah, you got both!
The magical pony that is the promise of a Bluetooth HHKB Pro 3 is my best excuse not to get the current model (unchanged for many years now) as otherwise it is essentially my perfect keyboard. Topre switches, 60%, dyesub PBT. And I'm not as fussy as you about 55g domes!

That would be absolutely perfect... but I seriously doubt it will be out any time soon.
PS: did anyone dismantle a Minila Air?
