Hey there,
I really want to know how red feels like but i don't have any chance to try them out..So, i've a question for you.
I already own mx blues and browns..I don't like using blues cause they really disturb me in quiet environment, and when i type fast...I would like to know, does browns feel same with reds when you type fast? You know, when you type fast you don't really notice that tactile bump in browns...
Thanks in advance

Similar, but it's much smoother since there is not bump. Even when you don't really think notice brown tactility at speed it still feels gritty in comparison to reds.

Exactly. Brown is moderately tactile, but red isn't tactile at all. It's smooth all the way down. Well, if you can stand that Cherry scratchiness!

I wouldn't call MX Brown scratchy at all. I don't know if I was just lucky or anything but mine is certainly not.
Some say that Browns just feels like Reds when you type fast, this is not the case at all! I would say that there is a distinct difference between the two!
I have used both extensively and to me, Browns feels like when you drive a car on a gravel road, you know there are bumps and you can feel them, but the faster you drive the harder it is to tell each bump apart. Reds is like driving on tarmac.

True, I can't feel the scratchiness in my greens (a completely opposite switch to reds, greens are heavy and clicky) but I suspect it's still there; it's just masked by the big tactile click and heavy spring. Reds are much more naked. It really is just you and the slider, with a gentle spring.

Agreed, heavier spring and more tactile stem results in a decrease of the scratchiness one would feel, which is what counts.
But I still cling on to the thesis that Red is the scratchiest of them all regardless of spring, especially from a subjective point of view.

They are the same as modern blacks. Try black stems from older keyboards with reds to have the cloud of boobs effect.
