DIP switch on new Realforce 87U do not seem to work [SOLVED]

I just got a Realforce 87U in the mail.

One of the first things I did was adjust the DIP switch to change the function of the windows key. However, I noticed that changing the DIP switch did not work. In fact, none of the switches seem to have any effect on the way the board functions.

Am I missing something here? Do these DIP switches work differently then on other boards?

I hope I am just missing something obvious. Shipping to my country from elite keyboards was around 60 dollars. So simply exchanging or sending it for repairs is not really an option. Especially since customs might charge me 19% of the retail price again on return.

You are changing the DIP switches with the board unplugged right? I'm fairly sure that's important...

Yes. Unplugged . Also tried to restart PC even though I realize there is no way that should matter. (thanks for the quick response).

It is official. I am an idiot. I unplugged the USB of my mic instead of the USB to the keyboard when changing the DIP switch (both black USB).

Thanks Hzfaq, it was because of your comment that I double checked.

No probs, good news that the board is working fine :D. How are you finding it?

Also, welcome to DT.

Haha, thanks man. I must say it really was a relief to find out I was just doing something stupid (as you can tell from the OP, I already knew this was a possibility XD).

Yeah, I really like the uniform weighted 45g Topre switches on this keyboard. The kind of feedback that you get when bottoming out is really nice, and I really enjoy how smooth they feel in general.
