[W̶T̶B̶] Looking for 65%/60%/tkl switchplates/pcbs/cases/

Hello,

I am looking to build a 65% keyboard for myself and either a 60% or tkl for my brother. I have a line on switches and keycaps, but I need cases, pcbs, switchplates, usb cables, leds, stabs etc.

Please contact me and let me know what you have and how much you would like for it. I live in Manitoba Canada.

Thanks!

edit: Have started talking to local laser cutters but still looking if someone has something.

I've got a custom made 65% plate and layered case for hand-wiring. It's got 1U mods, 6U spacebar, and off-center caps lock (it's designed for Cherry G80-1800 caps). Sound like something you'd be looking for?

That sounds interesting. Do you have pictures? How much were you thinking for it?

Don't have pictures right now, can look later. You can have it for whatever I paid, but I'll have to figure out what that was... I think it was pretty cheap though.

The keys could be awkward, but you could always get a cheap G80-1800 from eBay for parts? There should be loads of them with lasered POM caps and MX switches you can harvest. Maybe elecshopper.com might have some soon either.

Ok cool. Let me know when you can get some pictures and have figured out a price.

No luck finding the kit (I think it's buried in boxes somewhere) to take pictures. I'll let you know when I find it.

Alternatively, have you considered just designing and having your own plate cut? You could use buider.swillkb.com to generate the entire plate, case, etc. All you'd need to do then is buy a Teensy and hand-wire it.

Edit: you can get kits to make your own Magicforce 68 too: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/68-Keys...70432.html

Though I think that's more expensive than buying an assembled Magicforce 68...

I have considered it but was intimidated by finding somewhere to have my mats cut. Any suggestions on an online business to do something like that?

The SwillKB builder links you straight to a company called LaserGist who will give you a quote there and then. Otherwise, it'd be best to find somewhere local to save on shipping.

Found mine, pictures here: http://imgur.com/a/lTnrl

The caps lock switch was slightly off so an adjustment was made and the MX lock was glued in place. I'll glue a different switch in that position if you want it.

I am still waiting to hear back an exact quote from some local water jet cutters but out of curiosity, how much would you like for your case?
