This isn't mechanical but I thought that since we now have two of them and that it seems to be a product line pretty unknown, we might do a wiki page for it, with both this keyboard and the Model M AT.

What do you think ?

The wiki is not restricted to so-called "mechanical" keyboards — all keyboards in the world are valid wiki candidates. All the dirt-cheap entry level rubberdomes are unlikely to get recorded, but some entry-level keyboards from well-known brands (e.g. Tulip, Dell) and well-known factories (e.g. NMB, Chicony, Silitek) are already present. I hope to see niubio's extensive collection included one day, high-end and entry-level alike. I feel guilty sometimes at the level of attention I pay to some cheaper brands, but I shouldn't do — the wiki isn't there to judge the quality of any manufacturer, but to simply provide the facts. (If we ever get the force curve graphs we'll be able to assess feel pragmatically; what's much harder to assess is reliability.)

JP! didn't appreciate the seriousness of my remark that all the promises to add entries to the wiki flounder and evaporate. In the time that's passed since I made that remark, no-one's contradicted it yet.

BTW, whoever took those photos on Taobao needs to get their light bulb replaced.

The one on Taobao is the standard 4683 ANPOS keyboard. Same as these ones on eBay

ANPOS stands for Alpha-Numeric Point Of Sale. The basic keyboard for the 4683 POS system is the 50 key which comes in a basic version and one with an LCD and MSR (magnetic strip reader)
