Variants

Many variants of the 6310 series were produced, including:

  • Acer 6311-KW (Ext.# 11/UPC): Windows keys; Menu key to the right of the right Win key; 5-pin DIN connector; FCC ID: JVPKBS-WIN; the box front prominently displays "Accufeel Keyboard" and "Designed for MS Windows 95" wording; the back of the box gives directions on how to connect DIN 5 to Mini-DIN 6
  • Acer 6312: AT keyboard interface, no Windows keys
  • Viglen 6312: Rebranded Acer 6312
  • Acer 6312-TW: Per 6312 but with Windows keys
  • Viglen 6312-TW: Rebranded Acer 6312-TW
  • Alcatel MFII: 102-key ISO; broad flat case per later(?) Acer 6010 series[1]
  • Canon A280-GBK10 (identical to the Alcatel MFII)[2]

Disassembly

Please note that, in some instances, Acer glued the membrane to the keyboard controller PCB. Once the membrane has been peeled away, nothing remains to keep it in contact afterwards and the keyboard will no longer function.
