The word "alphameric" is simply a less-common variant of "alphanumeric".
History
The keyboard arm of Alphameric was acquired by Devlin in 2004.[1] Alphameric keyboard technology is still manufactured by Devlin as a legacy product.[2]
The remainder of Alphameric has since been acquired by OpenBet and renamed OpenBet Retail.[3]
