The Atari XT keyboard was for Atari's PC line up that was Atari's first IBM PC Compatible. The PC1 was the first entry computer made by Atari that would later be replaced by the PC2 in the same year. Both the PC1 and PC2 used the same 83 key keyboard.

OEM

This Atari PC1 8008 was manufactured for Atari by Hi-Tek Corporation. This keyboard is unique to the Atari PC lineup.

Switches

The Atari PC1 8008 keyboard uses white, one eye Linear switches from the Hi-Tek Series 725.

Keycaps

The keycaps are made of PBT and the legends are dye sublimated . The keys are sculpted, i.e. each row has its own profile. For more information see Hi-Tek Series 725. These keycaps are unique as well to this board as they are lighter than the normal NMB AT keyboard keycaps. The best color that describes them are ivory compared to beige.

Layout

The layout consists of 83 keys and was modeled after the IBM AT layout.
