The nice!nano is a microcontroller board with Bluetooth and USB, pin-compatible with a 3.3V Pro Micro. It uses the nRF52840 chip from Nordic Semiconductor.

  • Mid-mounted USB Type C port, making it slimmer than a Pro Micro.
  • On-board Lithium battery charger (100 mA max).
  • Charging LED
  • Voltage out can be switched off in software.
  • Real-time clock
  • Three additional GPIO pins compared to the Pro Micro, plus two GPIO pads.

License issue

The license for the nRF52840's "SoftDevice" which would have been used for Bluetooth is not compatible with the GNU Public licence that most Open Source firmware are licensed under.
