I've made another keyboard converter! this time for the 5291 surfboard (aka bigfoot), also running on QMK. I writing this post on it in fact!
here's the link to the source, lemme know via bug report on github (preferentially, but here will work if you don't feel like making a github account)
https://github.com/qmk/qmk_firmware
thanks!
edited, deleted my branch as QMK merged my controller!
IBM 5291 Bigfoot (personally prefer surfboard, as bigfoot is taken)

well crap! the pcbs and cases of the XT and 5291 surfboard can be swapped between the two in case you didnt know! so if youve got some bricked XT's but still have the 5291 pcbs you can do something with thoseelecplus wrote: ↑No to the cases. Yes to the PCBs and cables. I have 1/2 a tub of Model F PCBs from XT to F122.

awesome! before you power it on cross-reference the schematic here http://www.kbdbabel.org/schematic/kbdba ... 91_kbd.pdf with what i have listed in the repo I triple checked my wiring but i could have gotten something wrong, so please make sure everything is correct before plugging it in.Excelso wrote: ↑This has made me finally buying one for jet another project.
