These two keyboard were made from 1984. NMB Hi-tek switch started made the Space Invaders like version from mid1985. Only Hi-tek Gundam eyes was made in 1984.

Very grainy picture ;(
Anyway, things not consistent with Cherry:
-LED shield and placement of the LEDs
-Alignment of Caps Lock Legend
-Backspace symbol
-The keys of the numpad all seem to have the same profile
-The shape of the case seems non-Cherry-esque to me

There's probably more. No Cherry.

So, not worth paying the 10 euro needed to find out what it is?

Just a thought, it looks like it has PBT caps and an abs spacebar that has yellowed. I can't say for sure what it is, but it might be worth it for $10. My guess is some sort of RD keyboard, but you never know.

The Windows keys mean it is 1995 or younger. IMO rubberdome probability is way to high to spend 10 € on it.

I thought the same when I saw this keyboard but decided to give it a shot. Ended up with cherry compatible dyesubs.

Just gotta take a chance sometimes.

This keyboard could be KPT or KPT-like switch. Is it yours?

Hi!

I know this is a NEC Pc-98 keyboard, but I'm unsure of the switches:
http://i.imgur.com/bWnSxao.jpg
It looks like it's a variation of this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cvOQu0tBK8I

As you can see some features (top left of case, enter key, etc) are a little different. Anyone that has experience with these? I think the parts number is CMP-6D1Y7

Edit: Fixed broken link

The keyboard model is PC-9801-116. It's the NEC slider with dome keyboard. Rare to see this slider.

If the price is cheap. You should take this because no one sharing the PC-9801-116 keyboard here. And very rare to see the PC-9800 series keyboard too.

For long no reply. I finally found which switch it has when I searching for the Zenith.
It's the (Linear)Black new two eyes(without click arm)! I'm wondering the caps lock seens like has the (Linear)Magenta with LED! But I don't have a chance to know it.

Maybe it's the picture but it looks more like NMB dome with slider to Oo . Which are incredibly common xD .

terrycherry

sorry, I did some mistake. Cause I haven't the NMB dome with slider keyboard. But the details of grey slider on "Stop" key have something different with NMB dome with slider.

I think the grey one appeared on NEC keyboard only.

I broke out my box of loose NMB dome with slider sliders and from that picture it would definitely appear the two are identical. Admittedly, all mine are white instead of grey. It's possible NMB made these for NEC, or NEC made them under license. It's a shame the board doesn't show an FCC ID, that's usually a good indication.

As I know Toshiba HX-10 MSX series using the Alps SKFL switch. But I'm wondering much more brands with model MSX1 overseas might not use that switch, especially the arrow area keys. It could be using different variants switch on it. Could someone have an idea of it?
http://www.msxzone.com/index.cgi?id=msx ... y&sub=yeno
I guess this Korea made MSX was using the Futaba clicky switch(Futaba mount)

Any more?

Could someone identify the strange switch of QUME QVT-101 keyboard which was released in 1985.03.
That's amazing that I found this from older magazine 5 months ago and hope to see which switch was but found nothing.
And now, I can buy this keyboard.

terrycherry

I could see the spring under the slider, maybe it was the membrane version of Stackpole?
