So, I'm gonna let people in on a secret. This is my first HHKB.
I've used them (and like them) but had never gotten around to buying one.
But this isn't your standard HHKB.

As you may have noticed, the keyboard has a Fujitsu model number as well as Fujitsu domes. Instead of Topre switches in the modern HHKBs. While I don't think they are as nice as the Topre switches, these domes are WAY better than the domes in the HHKB 2 Lite keyboards.

I'm not quite sure how to open the keyboard any further (and don't really want to break it). I don't mind take some more pictures if there's an easy way to open it.

I suppose you have pulled all caps and there are no screws on the "plate", but I think I see a gap around it. Maybe the "plate" unclips and lifts up leaving the bottom half?
