The DRS20 had the same shifted number legends and colorway. https://collection.sciencemuseumgroup.org.uk/objects/co8412057/drs20-model-16-visual-display-visual-display-unit Suspect it's a keycap variation of the same keyboard. 3D printed Alps switch plate module

This is obviously not a full switch plate, but it should be easy enough to build one using this module. It took a bit of tinkering but now the switches fit really snugly with the bottom of the switch sitting flush with the underside of the plate.

Micro Switch Alps adapter (3D printed)

I've been meaning to publish these for ages. Basically it's what it says on the tin - use your glorious chunky Micro Switch keycaps with Alps key switches. With my Ender 3 and PLA they are a pretty tight fit, so depending on printer and material adjustments have to be made. https://www.thingiverse.c...

Re: IDENTIFY THE KEYBOARD thread

I bought these keycaps about a year ago on ebay. Does anybody by any chance know which keyboard they originally belonged to? It's obviously Micro Switch, but that's as far as I got.

Thanks Muirium, that makes sense. Although I would expect that one can ameliorate some of the strangeness with key remapping (to a point).
If you throw in a couple of keycaps from a model M (arrows etc.) you can end up with a layout that's pretty close to a regular tenkeyless.

My first build is pretty close to my optimal layout (I just need to find decent replacements for the three Atari key caps I used). I was worried the vertical modifiers (which I placed like this to avoid unsightly gaps on the left hand side) would be weird or annoying, but they work surprisingly well...

Very cheap (right now) model M. I bid on it but realised now that it's going to be two weeks before I can pick it up in Portsmouth (also, I actually have enough model Ms). So, great opportunity to get a model M essentially for free if you live somewhere in the area. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/OLD-CO...

I'm using a 1mm aluminium plate for my current (and first) build. It's wobbly as hell but luckily I planned in plenty of standoffs. When they are properly attached to the switch and bottom (2mm alu) plate the keyboard feels very solid and I can detect no vibrations or resonance. For further dampenin...

Ok, I've read up on this and (assuming I understood everything correctly) it's not really that complicated. Each board pre-defines external interrupts for a number of (but not all) pins. Hasu's converter uses the interrupt on the pin the CLOCK signal is connected to to detect the rising edge of the ...

Hasu just replied to my bug report on github - apparently if you want to use different pins you have to change the interrupts at the bottom of config.h as well. If I can find out how exactly (i.e. which values for which pins) I might set up a pull request with updated documentation.

I've just spent a *lot* of time trying to get this to work. As it turns out on my cheap Chinese arduino micro clone (which is otherwise great, BTW, since it fits inside a DB9 plug) the *only* pin configuration that works (and yes, I know you have to change the values in config.h if you want to use d...

Thanks balotz, keyboard arrived today, prompt and as advertised.

Now I'm in a dilemma, though. I had planned to use it as a donor of pristine black Alps for my build - however, seeing this untouched board I'm not sure I'll have the heart to rip it apart.

From the layout it looks like the keyboard of an MSX computer. Many of these had ALPS integrated dome switches AFAIK.

EDIT: Didn't notice the sliders on the side of the keycaps - so I'm probably wrong.
