Wasn't my 708 packed and ready to go? :( Or have I missed that you sent it? (I sure hope so) :D I'm waiting for the * for the numpad of the RETRO/STDRGBYSYM kit. I got a message from SP yesterday that they will produce the missing/wrong keys within a short time, so not much waiting for you. Weeee :...

Re: [Interest Check] Red Alert DSA[!] Sets

I'd LOVE to have a set it we can make one with the EU caps that people was talking about (so we can get se, fi, de etc caps).

I want my custom sets in swedish. :)

Give it a shot, if you lay out the whole plan with controller etc. and it seems reasonable for people I think more will join in on the fun. :)

I did not know it required SMD soldering, my bad. Thought the controller was like a teensy (with pins). SMD is not fun if you do not have the right tools for it. So a solder friendly version of the controller would be nice matt3o, but will it fit in a regular poker case? Maybee someone that has a po...

thanks komar for your post, very much appreciated. Looking forward to the final design then. I've had a quote from a company here and actually the price per board would be lower than what I expected, so a black or white pcb would be totally feasible. again problem is with the soldering that not eve...

So what we need after the PCB is bought is:
Diodes
Switches
Caps
Case
Stabilizers
And a controller, I have not looked into the GH60 group buy, but I guess they are using Teensy 2 just as with the Phantoms?

Please correct me if I missed something.

If this goes well, next up will be more parts of making a full set. This is the problem, I want this set, but I want a full modifier set. It will just look stupid if I mix this with my current set since I'll get White, purple and gray caps. It will look horrible. But if we get a full mod set so it'...

I guess I'll make them ergo whites and try to take some grease off to see if they are usable after that, a non tactile heavy switch is really hard to type on. That's going to be about blues then. There's a big difference from my blue switches and whites with less lube on. I've tried it already and ...

Re: Ergo-whites?

I use one lubed white (Krytox GPL 205) on my clear board as the caps-lock key. The idea was to make it more noticeable when accidentally pressing caps-lock. It has no audible click at all anymore (which kinda defeats the purpose of putting it there I guess). It still feels different then other tact...

I'll contribute to the thread then. Got everything working a few days ago. Phantom with clears/whites, ANSI with the extra ISO button at the left CTRL button. :) Caps are a mix of SP DS mods with freshly retr0brighted Cherry black on white DS caps. http://i.imgur.com/3Kf4Ug2.jpg http://i.imgur.com/I...

I haven't field tested them though, so i'd suggest you do just a couple to begin with and use them for a week or so, then do the rest. Have you used them for weeks now? How did it work out? I need to get my whites working as intended, the tactility is different on all the switches so it's hard to t...

Anyone else experiencing problems with MX White switches? Like 50% of my switches barely clicks at all. I'm guessing it's the same ones as on mechkeyboards. But can't be too sure. :)
