parts were meant to be used, not hoarded in boxes

and any time i harvest parts from a keyboard i keep everything else in tact in case someone with a collecting habit might want it when i'm done with it, so it can be reassembled

Just in case you're worried about getting keycaps -- maybe not as cheap as salvaging a new board but it's a sure shot for a clean looking keycap set that will work with any of the layouts.

and if anyone else might be willing to help me out with some AEK2 ansi caps i would be forever grateful

modding would be possible but unfortunately i don't have the tools to do so. maybe i could buy a hand file...
