Being a total noob it took three hours to get the silencing rings into my Novatouch (thanks to CM making it a serious pain to get the case open, I wasted an hour on that alone). Was it worth it? Ooooooh yeah, oh me oh my oh boy, such a marvellous improvement!  The horribly annoying ...

Yes, that was nice! Impatient as I can be, I placed an order despite Ebay's exorbitant shipping rates + up-front VAT charge.Hypersphere wrote: ↑At least, we were able to cut prices by 20% for Round 2.

US-produced goods being crap? Possible, but I rarely see any products that are actually produced in the US. Almost everything comes out of China or south-east Asia. US has been a consumer economy for the last 15 or 20 years thanks to cheap labor/products from overseas. Exactly; the goods designed/e...

Have no idea what United States of America Quality Standards are like Where I'm from, goods manufactured in the US are usually (not always!) considered crap quality, as if the motto were "Cheat as much as possible, keep costs down!". So I'm actually not surprised at all. Considering the l...

Ok, so the MOQ of 25 for each doesn't necessarily apply to round 5a? With luck, it could be lower?7bit wrote: ↑I wait until Round 5 has shipped to me, to decide about MOQs and what to order first and what to skip.

and have 91€ left to spend on dampening solutions to try to get it closer to the Realforce feel. :) Well well, I am working on something for that particullar problem, I will announce more details soon. That's very interesting, and perfect for me since I don't even know how a Topre switch is suppose...

Here in Sweden, it can be pre-ordered for 173€, with free shipping. The alternative is a Realforce TKL from keyboardco.com, which is 264€ shipped. With lousy (IMO) black-on-black PBT caps that cannot be replaced (I don't know of any alternative Topre PBT nordic/Swedish cap set available anywhere?). ...

I'd just as rather buy a NovaTouch nude Same here. I have zero use for the default abs crap, and already have a set of nice pbt dyesubs to put on instead, but I would be extremely surprised if CM decided to do this. :) To me the RealForce is no alternative though, no matter the price, since I don't...

Yes. The NovaTouch, at least the prototype, is for some reason louder than regular Topre, so it seems optional o-rings will be included.Monkay wrote: ↑Btw. : Are these O-Rings on the photos?

Yes, I try to make the recordings as fair as possible. I always put the same mic right on the desk in the same spot behind the keyboard, and record at 50% volume without any edits. Can't promise I'm always typing as fast, though! Maybe I get louder the more practice I have going fast with a board! ...

Yes, I recorded with o-rings installed in the NovaTouch. Also I think that was when I had tall Round 4 SPH sphericals on it. The blue keys I forever show off! Neither Realforce nor HHKB are mine though. They were just borrowed. My only Topre is the proto NovaTouch. Which I still prefer to every MX,...

Compare with the sound of my PROTOTYPE NovaTouch: https://www.dropbox.com/s/322vbhb2gdg94bq/NovaTouch.m4a I don't do Flash, so I haven't heard this new video. Is it any different? The sound was at the top of our feedback on the early models. Topre switches shouldn't need o-rings, but these did. I u...

To me, O-Rings are like training wheels - once you have mastered your skill, you don't need them anymore. I can type without bottoming out on reds and blacks. And I also enjoy the clack sound when I do bottom out. O Rings really seem to reduce travel quite a bit, which I hate. Especially on reds. W...

I can't see a hint of a video. Maybe you need Flash for it to show up or something. But I did see a bag of apparently complementary O-rings Yes, Flash is unfortunately needed, and here's the direct link to the video: http://player.youku.com/player.php/sid/XNzQzNTg5NDg4/v.swf The NovaTouch sounds lo...

Can the function of the "Fn" key be changed (on Ducky keyboa
I hate the Fn key om my Ducky keyboards. A lot. I want my context menu key back! Hence, is it at all possible to reroute the Fn key to become the context menu key? I'm guessing that the Fn key is actually never transmitted to the host, acting as a "dead" modifier key that only the keyboard co...
