Will the PFU limited edition be truly limited? I would like to try one, but the price is USD 386, and I am not sure which eBay vendor in Japan to trust.

As for your site, I loaded it on my iPhone again just now and whatever I was moaning about is no longer apparent. Maybe it was a side effect from slow image loading while I was out and about? DT's primary weakness is the same, of course, where pages render explosively as images pop unpredictably in...

I have a coworker going to Japan in the next month. I was going to have him pick me up an SE070S at Tsukumo but instead I'll pick up a REALFORCE R2. You only mentioned amazon.co.jp as a source. Any other potential sources in Tokyo? Keep in mind that the PFU "limited edition" models are different to...

Oh boy. *Another* keyboard forum?! Apologies, it's my site. I wanted to keep this about the PFU RF though, since there's fairly limited info floating around at the moment. Thanks for the write up. Is this really Limited Edition or is R2 going to be the only one offered by Realforce in future? I don...

And what does the PCB look like now? More integrated like a NovaTouch?

Yeah i was told the R2 is replacing the older range. The older range are still SUPERB and you can easily tell it's a Realforce but the latest models look like some Yum-cha-no name style done in the back streets of China, rather than coming from Japan. So sad to see how far Realforce has fallen, all...

Not the ones I've seen in person (which seemed to be the same as these). Thicker outlines + deeper sticker material. It made "Professional" look more smeared together. The Gold is a different colour too.subcat wrote: ↑ They are the same, just without the coloured accents.

I've seen these on keyboards, they look really cheap. Not the same level of detail.wobbled wrote: ↑
Found a couple stickers for sale on another website, not sure how trustworthy this is but I'll post anyway.

Krytox is a high-end wet lube often used for keyboard stuff, seems to work quite well in most cases as long as you don't over apply. Various keyboard shops and Amazon/Ebay sometimes carry it in smaller quantities. You can also use dry teflon lubes like "super lube" and other brands. These are cheape...

The design and tech seems very dated to me, pretty lazy too. AA's are completely unnecessary in the age of modern 2-3mm thick LiPo packs. They could've fit a BT4 module and modern battery inside the existing enclosure, if they were actually trying. Seems like a very awkward product given the price p...

Hey Kurk, that's a great review. Definitely agree with you that the ball needs to rotate freely. Any sort of friction or snagging contributes to jumpy/jerky movements on screen. The KEM doesn't spin freely/smoothly enough at low speeds. Combine this with a very average sensor... unimpressed. Re: ITA...

Some quick thoughts on the Kensington Expert "Mouse": I used it for around 1.5 weeks, full time. I became reasonably proficient with it within the first day, but it took around 4-5 days to become fast and almost effortless. What does it have going for it? (in my opinion) - Close proximity to the key...

... Seems to be a lot of Apple guys with a huge hate-on for it. Maybe they can discuss it at the Friend Bar Not just Apple-guys, everyone else. Wheybag keys sound like a good option, far better than $78USD+ for two HHKB keys :) Re: Novatouch, I think 2 spare blank or diamond keys is a small price to pay for keeping a large portion of customers happy. Keeps the board usable and free from annoyances right out of the box. The only way to go fo...

This board looks great. Only minor criticisms: - "Capslk". That's slightly more annoying than a normal "Caps Lock" key. - Chevrons instead of arrows on the arrow keys? - Those damn Windows keys. Seriously? Does CM provide generic ones as a courtesy? I'd imagine a decent number of the enthusiasts pot...

Spartan Classified is available in digital form. The original Spartan font (Futura's competitor back in the day) is not. There's a ton of Future variants and re-cuts/re-releases too. Futura has also been used for some famous semi-custom corporate typefaces, notably Swatch Group and Omega watches "Sw...

Hey guys, This is the silent model, which as far as I know only comes in variable-weighting. I wasn't a fan of variable initially, but it was very easy to adapt to. Variable Topre feels fast/light with just the right amount of tactile bump, I wouldn't personally be interested in trying a heavier wei...

I only became more impressed with the 87U over time. It feels like a refined version of the HHKB Type-S (which I sold). I smash on this thing all day, every day. I don't think anything can come close to Topre, but I wish there was more options in the market. I tried buckling-spring years ago, it's s...
