If anyone is interested in the Fujitsu keyboard let me know, I will do it at almost cost of postage.

Cherry & Fujitsu Keyboards
Both non-mechanical, but the Cherry keyboard has mechanical blacks on the programmable section with included clear keycaps. Fujitsu rubber-dome keyboard. Both are new but have been in storage for a few years. Looking for £25 including UK postage. IMG_20230214_201224.jpg IMG_20230214_201159.jpg IMG_2...

Re: British Gas special order PS2 keyboard with DEC ALL-IN-1 legends
The red/green legends are colour coded based on Shift/Alt modifiers.thefarside wrote: ↑22 May 2022, 05:09Very nice! Quite a lot of functions. Is there a significance between the red and green colors?
The orange legends indicate 'Gold key' shortcuts - you press the Gold key (PF1/Num Lock), release, then press the orange legend key.

Re: British Gas special order PS2 keyboard with DEC ALL-IN-1 legends
Glad you like it. It is genuinely brand new which made is so much more desirable in my eyes.
Of course my wife didn't see the point, but the folk at my DEC Legacy event will appreciate it from a DEC perspective.

Re: HHKB's you've tried
I recently painted the case on my HHKB 2 as it wasn't responding to my half-arsed retrobrite attempt. Having said that the space bar did come up fairly well. I've had success previously with retrobrite, here a link to my documentation: https://www.wickensonline.co.uk/rc2012sc/2012/07/07/summer-compu...

British Gas special order PS2 keyboard with DEC ALL-IN-1 legends
This will be only of marginal interest to most folk. This is an unremarkable Fujitsu ICL rubber dome keyboard, apart from the keycaps. Re: Modern battleship keyboards?
The modern customs scene has mostly gravitated towards small form factor (sub-TKL) keyboards, but a notable exception is the Hyper7 kit, as well as the Modern Unsaver project (which I believe is currently in limbo). Those were just the ones I could think of off the top of my head, but I have no dou...

Modern battleship keyboards?
I use Contour Rollermouse on all of my keyboards, so physical width isn't an issue from an ergonomics point of view. I've been out of the keyboard scene for ages, I wondered if anyone is making a modern battleship keyboard (other than Lexmark) these days? I don't recall seeing anything out there. I'...

Re: Resprayed Happy Hacking Keyboard
I'm surprised your retrobrite didn't work, I've gone from a bronzed near-orange Pro 1 to bleached white. Do you have any before pictures? I've always found those coil springs like to attached to one another - a small magnet is a great way to find & detach them when this happens. Since you've gone f...

Resprayed Happy Hacking Keyboard
First time I've done a respray. Light wet and dry, then two coats of Rustoleum primer then two coats of Rustoleum Gun Metal. I protected the main keys with 10mm stickers, the space bar stabilizers and kickstand housings with Blutack. I tried retrobriting the case but it didn't work - it was too far ...

Oh, I just checked back into Deskthority after a millenium off here and noticed this post after having tried to find info about wiring up an LK250 which is kinda XT compatible. Last time I tried the Linux LK201 kernel support it didn't work correctly with a proper LK201. It did used to work and allo...

For Linux you can do this via a powered adapter that converts the connections to an RS/232 connector - there is a Linux kernel driver that supports this: http://wickensonline.co.uk/app/index.html#/linuxlk For Windows AFAIK you are currently out of luck, although I keep meaning to come up with a solu...

Extra flexible Micro USB cable
Does anyone have an suggestions for an extra flexible micro usb cable I can use to connect a keyboard?
I want a cable that will lay flat on the desktop, preferably no longer than 1 metre.
Thanks, Mark.

Trying to figure out dip switch settings, any chance you have the manual for the keyboard? Wow, this topic has been quiet for a while. You know what I think I do have a manual for it. Of course the more difficult question to answer is 'where is it'? Let me have a think... if I have it I'll scan it ...
