that's a really nice theme for a keyboard :D being able to do keyboard macros with the keyboard without additional software would be another nice touch (notepad the next emacs clone ;D ). as for LED's on it - wouldn't it be awesome if the LEDs would brighten up after a switch activated plus some min...

oh i most definitely don't - i didn't even have the original idea to those keycap pullers - it's just that i thought that if there was a really cheap alternative to those mentioned there it should also be in the list :)

Thanks for the answer, keycaps aren't hard to find, it is just that the shipping costs are ridiculous. Painting the case is a good idea, for that I'll have to figure out how to disassemble the KB, I'm not pro enough to change the back light, plus I really like my white back light, simple and clear....

i would say that getting caps for a mx board is fairly easy (compared to any other switch) unless you're really picky,
you could also paint the case? get some fancy usb cable for it (if it's detachable)? change the backlighting? swap the switches? burn it...

pfff! totally not greedy but needy! ;D though arguably i'd not be as happy about ISO caps and the switches/board could also find a greater purpose :(

and isn't that the ordinary british summer? :}

anyways, nice finds! :)

i usually switch between raised/flat/in lap keyboard positions, mostly it's raised - flat when i'm completely sunk in my seat and in lap when i'm in input-clerk mode; sometimes i do switch randomly just because... i can.

you could say that ANSI and the color layout makes more sense because you have all printables in the main block the same color (besides tab and space, they vary - they're not exactly printables though).

i would increase the size of (1,1) to (1,4) and (14,1) to (14,4) by 0.5 and add that width (+0.5*2) to the space bars. though that would mess up the layout a little it would look more comfortable to me. also, i would try to merge layers as far as possible instead of having f.e. the arrow keys mirror...
