USB natively supports max. 6KRO, keyboards with NKRO over USB use trickery to achieve it! Um.. no. There's no such restriction on the USB protocol. I'll defer any "trickery" discussions to someone that has actually coded NKRO support into a controller, Could someone chime in and give some low-level...

I realised, too late, that you don't host your own images. And Flickr etc. are all on my malignant scowling list because of every bad experience I've had with them. Would self hosting jpegs push the bills too high? I used the Deskthority wiki to store my images. If it fits keypuller it fits the wik...

The Novatouch was better than any of the Cherry boards, but it felt too light and indefinite. Coming back to the RF 87u 55g made me realize all over again what I quality machine it is. This keyboard stands well above all the others in this roundup in every way, including appearance, sound, and typi...

Unused keycaps from Granite round 2: sell, buy, trade in adv
The Granite round 2 group buy is not over yet, but everybody is already full of keycaps they will not need, especially those who bought the international kits. At the same time there are also poor souls that only need one or two keycaps and hope to get those with trades. I think that we can all save...

Availability of replacement sets […] are measurable parameters. I would say that the availability of replacement sets is more connected to the cultural background of the person or organization behind that set. If you are used to ANSI and you live in the USA, you probably do not care about ISO keybo...

If not for Melissa's helpfulness, it'd be pretty frustrating to deal with it. And I was thinking: the Debian red on white group buy was worth 304.5 USD in total. To me this seems such a small amount of money that I cannot understand how they can have somebody spending time answering emails and redo...

I want to (try to) find a compromise between time needed to insert a set and completeness of information. The more fields the more time per set needed. Couldn't it be made an incremental system? So that one start from a simple record with an image and some information, then other people fill in the...

I have that keyboard. The font is similar, but not identical, to "Gorton Modified" as used in SP's doubleshots (of all profiles) Slight detour: Desn't SP uses Gorton Modified for DCS and a different font for DSA? I have been told that the font used for the Macross set (DSA) is not Gorton Modified b...

Hi! Sorry if this is in the wrong place but I was wondering what the name of the font is that was used on the keycaps found in Honeywell keyboards and what seems to be most keyboards from around that era. It looks a lot like the font used by Signature plastics for their DSA keys. Have you got a mor...

Why do you prefer the ANSI enter? Why the ISO enter?
Personally I prefer the ISO enter because I find it easier to reach regardless of the position in which my fingers are.

How to print stickers to try new layouts? Which paper/film?
I have a keyboard with blank gray keycaps and I would like to try out some unusual layouts and graphics. Basically I want to try a custom layout before ordering from WASD. Has anybody printed legends on stickers? On which paper/film? I had a look around but I could not find a film that is printable ...
