Hey Ellipse, been lurking here and checking for updates on your progress. Finally decided to put a offer in for a F77, I might try to buy a F62 in the later buy too.

I'm not sure if I'm going to get some flak for posting on this topic again after 8 months, but I wanted to give an update on the KBT Race II. The issues some people had complained about, particularly LEDs failing, has not happened to me. So I think that, the LEDs failing were probably a first genera...

I would definitely buy their keyboard without keycaps (or at least be seriously interested in buying it), if the price was cheaper than any other topre TKL by about $50 USD, Probably won't happen though. I reckon CM will charge a lot for this TKL because "it's compatible with Cherry Mx keycaps,".

Oh huh, you do the index finger on the left click, middle finger on the scroll and ring ringer on the right. I know somebody who owns a G400 that also does that. Yeah its super comfortable holding it that way, I'm using a MX518. Other mice I('ve) use(d) I use ring and pinkie on the left side to sup...

They should sell a version of this with out keycaps, I'd imagine that would cut the cost a bit. Also considering a lot of people who would be looking to buy this, would be planning on switching out the keycaps. I bet they will charge a premium though.

Hi rklm your layout looks awesome are you going to use a locking switch for the Fn layer? I think going with the Xbox 360 thumb stick is the right call theres the most information about that controller than the others. If you need some technical information I'd seriously recommend going to xpadder.c...

I think it would be cool if you used the letters in the home row to create the name, heres what I came up with using french/spanish/english: tien start est here (your start is here)

Nice layout good luck learning it. :P

The gap between the F-row on those keys is interesting, and I think the proper way to handle that would to include the measurement of the gap. The Monterey K110 F-keys look like 0.5u height with 0.25u gap. The Ortek keyboard's F-row looks like 1u height and a gap of 0.25u. The K110 would be 16:5.75,...

Yeah and to be honest I didn't want to get this keyboard, the keyboard I wanted doesn't exist. I choose the KBT race for the reason you mentioned (I use the F-keys a lot so going with out them was a deal breaker for me). I had been thinking about getting a TKL but I was exclusively looking at the Fi...

Hey guys I think that a 75% keyboard is basically just a TKL keyboard but in roughly the same key layout width:height ratio as a 60%/40%. I propose a set R:C ratio (with some variance) for keyboards to be designated as let's say compact*1 and deserving of a x% classification. The R:C ratio would be ...

Thanks xman!
The switches are PCB mounted, although I've seen people talking about a aftermarket mounting plate for the race layout before I haven't been able to find one for sale (I'll try to do some more research on that later tomorrow).

I think that going with a trackball is the way to go otherwise your mouse arm might be over extended a bit. But as for some options away from the norm, I think a track-pad/joystick could also work out really nicely. There are a few trackballs that a lot of people seem to like, the two on the top of ...

Yeah Muirium I know me too , when I was researching the keyboard I was confused because the Signature Plastic's row system was what I was familiar with. I'm not sure of the benefit of the Row 5 profile, because when I'm using the F Keys I'm already off(or barely on) the home row, so the ergo is...

I only switch to my left hand on my mouse when my left arm gets sore from being leaned on all day. I've tried going completely over to using my left hand. But I can't really justify it sense my accuracy where it really matters (in FPS games  ) never quite gets as good as my right hand, and I'd ...

Muirium I cant find the picture of it at the moment, but KBT has a picture naming each of the row and they named the F row row 5, number row R4, etc.
Edit: I found the picture.

Muirium, Yeah I the R5 keys are pretty insane, It seems to me that Vortex/KBT are the only ones using the R5 profile. For me I wouldn't be surprised if I end up buying tons of sets of keycaps just for 1 key that would work so I can get this thing looking special. Daniel, I completely get what you're...

Here we go, from the documentation for Soarer's Controller , the firmware I run on my custom 60% : scanrate Scan rate is set in milliseconds, in other words it's actually the interval between scans. The default is 1ms, giving a scan rate of 1000Hz. Valid values are from 1 to 8, allowing scan rates ...

I did post on that thread showing a layout that would work for me, which I made from modifying scottc's post. Need help finding a keyboard (or keyboard & numpad)

Hi so I want to first preface this with I am willing to spend a decent amount of money on a keyboard that meets my whole criteria but if it doesn't I wouldn't want to spend as much. That being said my budget would be up to ~$250 USD. Here's what I'd like: Least amount of input lag Small for more roo...
