(Not that I'm interested, ABS is lost on me, but I think it's an important topic.)
Yes f and j are deep dish homing keys.

Will the legends be nice&sharp&well aligned? It would be bad to go in for 3-6-9-12 sets and the legends to have inconsistencies like early JTK models.... We will not have any of those issues.i have another meeting coming up with the tooling guys to go over this aspect of the design. I should have a...

More profiles are a good thing, I feel. Variety being the spice of life and all that. I wish the KS campaign all the luck. For me, though, the sculpt is too subtle and the shape not spherical enough. When it comes to low-to-med height sculptured spherical profiles, I think DSS will be more my cup o...

In any case, just to make sure that it's perfectly clear: it was an innocent joke and I'm not specifically targeting you or this Kickstarter campaign as particularly likely to run away with peoples' money. It's just a risk inherent to the platform. By the way, what's the rationale behind the unusua...

It was more a joke about Kickstarter and crowdfunding in general, tbh. I personally funded the Jolla tablet whose company had a bad time and I lost most of my money so I am particularly skeptical about it. They raised $2.5m and were heavily delayed even after most manufacturing was done, then the C...

So at least you removed that "inconsistent GMK legends" babbling... Sorry dude, but you lost me with that. Haha yes, same here. Any hope of me backing these project died with that nonsense. Not sure what the intention was there. Still, it's an ambitious project so I hope it goes well, even if I'm n...

HuB Custom Keycap Profile

Hello Deskthorians, I am proud to announce that the Kickstarter for HuB - a custom keycap profile - is now live and off to a great start! https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/thevankeyboards/hub-mechanical-keyboard-key-caps HuB is a custom keycap profile that can most simply be described as a cross ...

Zeal PC, the van keyboards, keyclack, 1up keyboards. They all deserve a nomination for milking the community. Prominent community members selling cheap stuff for serious dough to lesser versed members who don't know you can get the same thing for a lot less money. Sometimes the exact same thing, ju...

For a ghetto underglow you can just solder the LED's on the bottom of the PCB, it's an old trick ;) The PCB is interesting, I'm still on the fence for this, it's quite expensive for EU people because we have to pay the taxes ... I can't do anything about the taxes :/ you'll have to talk to your gov...

Did the GH60 actually ship? Last I checked people were still waiting after 3 years. This includes authentic cherry stabs not the rattly knockoffs. The price includes a profit margin as well. Everything I make is made in America, it might be more expensive but to me it's worth it.

The buy is extended to the end of the month and all kits will be made. It is pricey to get both the base and compat, but you should be able to cover a wide array of boards with it.

Currently I am going to keep the buy open until MX compat and alps base both tip. Alps compat will need to see big numbers in that time if there is hope for that set.

Now for some real life photos of the set

base mx - 118
base alps - 34
int/compat mx - 28
int/compat alps - 11

What kind of options would ya'll like to see in the event that a kit your ordered doesn't reach moq?

Just placed my order for one Base kit in each of MX and Alps formats. Fingers crossed! This is an interesting buy based of pricing and what not, but based on the first day I'm feeling pretty good. MX base is already at moq, alps baseus about halfway and both compat kits are about 1/5. With 16 days ...

I just wet myself when you mentioned ALPS Stems for this key-set  :-o :-D .

PLEASE make it happen otherwise another plain MX based key-set, would be extremely underwhelming.

You have a short shift, and the \ and ` for the top row, but no short backspace... :( what size is the backspace that is needed? Same as backspace, so 1.5, but I noticed that your \ for the top row is 1.5 instead of 1 now that you've put out your key map. I guess I was mistaken- I was thinking that...
