Out of curiosity, what's with the stabs wires covered in white tape or something?

Can you please explain what it is for?

Very light, I'd say around 60g bottom out force. That same as that of an unmodded one, because the click leaf imparts orthogonal forces during bottoming-out. It's been measured at slightly below 60 gf. So I linear-modded one of my Alps keyboard (SKCM White). It doesn't feel like 60gf to me as my MX...

Hi there, Welcome to DT. I also had the same kind of issue you are experiencing though mine is a clicky switch. What I did was I used it for a couple of weeks and bam, it disappeared just like that. It's probably the individual switch chattering. Get a replacement and see if it works, if not just ge...

I'm still waiting for mine as well.

Since chzel might be chiming in, I might as well relay what he told me through pm.

He was holding some of the keyboards for inspection before sending it over.

Weird.

He has my email address which I sent to him and I have received the same email but via DT and not from other external sources. That's 2 emails but those are from the 3rd of Jan. Things are pretty quiet so far.

@gogusrl,

There is a Novatouch from here: http://www.cmstore.eu/

It came out cheaper compared to KeyboardCo's pricing but not sure if tax is still payable once shipped.

@CM Bram, can you verify?

So currently: The Hakko from Cherry1990 link is out of my budget range. I'm thinking about <50euro for the iron, solders and holder shipped. The one from HobbyKing doesn't ship to IE due to size/weight of the station. The ones from the eBay won't even ship to southern Ireland. :( I would like to hav...

This.

Ordering it now! :D

Thanks guys!

Edit: Apparently, they cannot ship to Ireland due to size/weight :(

Hi andrewjoy,

I'm just in it to try and fix a couple of switches off my board and maybe, to prepare myself for my first custom.

Hi Matt_,
All cool man. I figured I also need a holder. Yeah, I need to get those stuff somewhere closer.

Thanks for the suggestion Matt_. I canceled my order from Amazon knowing I could get something better. Still looking at eBay though. I haven't done a full soldering job before (except for linking wires together) but I could always spare some time to practice so I won't f-up the board. I'll consider ...

I guess I'll order the one from Amazon because the seller from that ebay link doesn't seem to post to Ireland.

Thank you!

Edit: What other items should I get aside from solders and pumps? Do I need flux?

Edit2: Ordered! Thanks andrewjoy!
