For this price I already get an HHKB Pro 2 or Realforce 55g.
Of course without the keycap compatibility, but also I practically HAVE to buy a keyset for the NT because the default ones are meh. So that's 180 for the board + shipping + keycaps.

I don't like the black keys at all. If they'd be blank AND if I'd want to put em on the white board, then I'd consider. But knowing that I don't wanna use a black case board and the caps it comes with don't fully suite my tastes (mainly because they are readable but then they're not), I'll put anoth...

Actually, the Realforce feels so nice with 55g keys, that I decided to stock 1 up for backup. My keyboard search is over. Finally. (the TKL layout with its color scheme, dye pbt caps, and possibility for caps/ctrl swap are a nice combo that helped making that decision. it's the complete keyboard tha...

Germany. 210€ in total. The thing I really like too about the 55g keys on the RF: even typing slowly (so, no Typeracer ;)) feels ploppy and satisfying which the HHKB cannot offer with the 45g keys. Makes it more of a pleasure in general desktop usage, using shortcuts and the like. I still have my bl...

Hey there! RF 55g arrived! :) I didn't have to pay more than the total price mentioned on elitekeyboards which made it even less pricier than keyboardco! Guess the FedEx shipping costs included the customs already. Anyway, happily typing and gaming on it now. And it's a great board for sure! The 55g...

I'm in the same boat as the OP. After a long time using my HHKB Pro 2 exclusively I was in for something new, refreshing, better(?). So I made up my mind again what I'm really looking for in a keyboard, used mostly for desktop and gaming. Starting from scratch again, for the sole reason to not hang ...

The Realforce has a metal plate, while the HHKB has plastic plate mount switches. The HHKB's plate is actually its own casing. I think the difference between them is exaggerated, too. But they are built in separate ways. So, it's just metal plate vs non-metal plate. Based on that .... Of course if ...

Sorry to bring this thread up again, but I guess many people will read this thread who are searching for some infos on those keyboards. Anyway, I can't understand why so many (or just some) people see such a big difference in the build quality between a RealForce and a HHKB. Seriously. I had a RF bo...

Concerning the switch feel of HHKB-45g VS RF-45g VS RF-55g I guess it only comes down to preference. I've read numerous threads (I guess all now) on geekhack and on deskthority that had a similar topic title like mine and there are not many people that have tested all 3, especially side by side. Tho...

RealForce in black & white anyone?
I wonder why I didn't find any, but are there black RealForce boards with white keycaps out there, or vice versa?
Would like to know what they look like.
Feel free to post pics or links.

I'm glad I could find some help and answers. Thank you very much! Does the 55g pop up quicker? Is the 45g easier to hold down? Is one of those two easier to doubletap? Is the 45g RF feel the same as the 45g HHKB? Those are the questions that still bug me though. Maybe someone who had both can shed s...

Topre 45g VS 55g again ;_;
Hello Hello! Somehow, after using my HHKB Pro 2 for some months now, I began questioning myself if the 55g Realforce keyboard might be better for my tastes. It really bothered me and so I began remembering all the switches I tried and put them in a ordered list with a rating of 1 to 5, where 1 is "v...

No no , I don't mean the typical click-clack when the keys are pressed or released. I made a video of the sound when pressing "6". It is the key(cap) where that sound is most prominent. https://jumpshare.com/v/s2ULFIyOD3eSpeDrYd2Q?b=MPE0RepFNkiQQvdXnWPz Listen carefully after the key came up. It sou...

Thanks guys. Quick response! I'm not so sure myself anymore. When I hold the HHKB like a telephone to my ear and I press a key and release it in a way it plops up...that way I have that rattling sound from almost all keys. Which is kinda nice to know as it seems to be related to the springs of the k...

PLEASE help! HHKB makes springing noise
Hello there! Just got a brand new HHKB Pro 2 in Dark Gray and what I noticed after thoroughly inspecting the thing, is a springing kinda rattling noise that comes from the inside when pressing the spacebar or the 'e' key or when tapping with my finger on the outer casing of the board. It reminded me...

The Cherry Switch Try Gaming PCB's
I finally settled on the reds. Just wanted to share some further opinions. The blues aren't suited for gaming imo. The bump activation and release points are not in the same spot which gives me problems. Bottoming out and fully releasing every keypress would work but gets annoying. I see them shine ...

Here's a quick summary of my testing. I sorted out the Ghetto Reds, Clears, Clears with brown spring and Greens. Those switches aren't really available in any buyable board so I avoid the hassle right from the start. I didn't really like those 4 anyway. Browns: Still don't know what to think of them...
