I came across a random listing that has this key switch. It is described as "clicky". I thought it was maybe Futaba Cherry mount? But - the slider is the wrong color, green and not white, and the switch housing looks off. What could it be?

Potentially a variant of [wiki]Deyi foam and foil[/wiki] — foam and foil with a click leaf inside. It has the ridges used to hold the spring under the keycap.

Huh. I think you're right. The person who sent me these photos reports "there is a purple spring that is not pictured". How odd.

Presumably an older version, as it's metal plate mounted instead of plastic moulded. The purple dye is a nice touch :)

Of course, the term "clicky" is too heavily abused to be trusted, but it does look like foam and foil.

The "mystery keyboard" was a Franklin ACE 2000 (Apple II clone) keyboard. Very rare. Ah well. My bid was insufficiently high. Was it anyone here who got it? It has beautiful double shot Cherry MX compatible key caps.

That space bar is a thing of beauty! And the layout is quite an interesting variant.

That spacebar had better come with two stabilizers!...

I know this is an older topic now, but I had to concur how swoon-worthy that spacebar is. Any court in the land would agree: That is SOME spacebar. I'd even go as far as to call it the Dusenberg of Spacebars. Yeah baby! If anyone fails to type a space on that thing, they may as well give up!
