Sorry for the bad photo of the switch, it's all I have right now.

The keyboard has a DIN connector. It's KS/JIS layout with the small backspace. I imagine putting some non-Russian keycaps on it and it'll make a neat retro board.

Just curious about that switch though. I couldn't find a match on the wiki. It looks like it has a "B" in the corner?
The Cyrillic caps are the best thing about it! I would like an Alps mount set myself. Nice find.

Sorry can't really confirm the switch but the keyboard is a NTC KB-6351, very little info about it other than it comes with White Alps and possibly White Alps clones.

Thanks! I'll snatch them just in case. There's two, boxed. I'll report back when they arrived, after investigating what they are. The second one will probably go back on sale.

After having been bit by the vintage keyboard bug, another one came in the mail today! I picked this one up because it looked like an IBM Model F AT. I never heard of the brand, though.

The switch says "ATT" or "ATTE", I couldn't find anything about it. It's linear, not clicky. Anyone know more about this board?

Hi
I'm new to the forum because I'm looking for information on this keyboard I own.

It comes from a Honeywell terminal (see photo). It would be a Micro Switch SW-11086.
I can't find any information on this model, thanks for your help.

Micro Switch Hall effect SW series. Some of the finest linear switches ever made. Proper doubleshot caps. I know them well, but have still to convert mine to USB. Apparently it is possible.

The one on the top is a DEC LK401.

wiki/DEC_LK401

The one on the bottom is a Qtronix KB-580

https://www.ebay.com/itm/126044693920?h ... BMyPKU99Zi

Both appears to be dome with slider unfortunately.

That's a shame. In the meantime, seller also sent a picture of another one like the DEC, new in a box that says "Olivetti". Maybe they made DEC keyboards?

Anyway, looks like I'll pass on these. Thanks for the help, Wolfi77W!

No worries! Any photos of the Olivetti? The Olivetti while it has the same or similar layout as the DEC board could actually be a rebranded wyse with the same layout and Cherry MX Black switches so that's actually a lot more interesting then the DEC itself.

Here's a few threads discussing the Olivetti branded Wyse boards.

Oh that looks exactly the same as the DEC. Doesn't look like a Wyse based on the keycaps too unfortunately.

textadventurer

21 Sep 2023, 20:11

Yeah, I realised the same after posting. Oh well. I asked someone who's into DEC stuff if he wants them, otherwise I'm going to leave 'em with the seller.

Another two I can't 100% sure what they are. The latter is obviously a Cherry RS 3000 (a.k.a. Cherry G83-3000 apparently?) but I would like to know if it has interesting switches or how to tell the difference in switch/rubber dome from these pictures. I saw somebody comment about the homing bars so I add a zoomed picture of that:

You can't.

Homing bars are just a sure sign the caps are not doubleshot.

The one at the top is a NEC APC-H412 with NEC Blue Oval switches. These switches aren't bad, they have an alps style click leaf. Only minor issue with it is it actuates before the click and tactility.

wiki/NEC_APC-H412

The homing bars you mentioned for the RS-3000 is indeed different from those in Cherry G80 and G81 boards. They use scooped keycaps for the "F" and "J" keycaps whilst the numpad 5 has a dot in the middle instead of the conventional bar on the bottom.

Here's a photo comparison of scooped and homing bars on 2 different GMK sets I have. Note the lack of any homing bars on scooped and the deeper dish of the scooped keycaps.

Ah, thank you. The NEC keyboard sounds interesting, I think I'll pick it up. The Cherry isn't interesting then.

I appreciate the ID, thanks all!

Anybody know more about this board? Seller says it's an ANK 510 AP. I can't find it in the wiki, and am wondering if it has interesting switches.

My membrane rubber dome spidey-sense is tingling. Good looks, though. Just strikes me as from the era when the insides all went pear shaped.

I was afraid so. That hunch, plus it being AZERTY -- I'll skip it. Thanks.

I've grabbed this Philips 2876-101 (2875?-101) / 8700 028 76011 / 512 292 3342 some months ago and want to know what I've got at my fingertips now. Although it resembles the X3315, the connector differs in the spacing of the five pins - 45 degrees vs. 60 degrees. My specimen has got a 5-pin XT/AT connector, but doesn't work with an active USB-adapter.

The key feel is bland, like normal rubber domes. Judging by the looks, it's completely possible that they are rubber domes, indeed. I didn't opened it (yet), since it's riveted close. What is wrong about screws, I ask you?

Haven't seen this Commodore PC keyboard before (I have a Commodore Colt with matching keyboard which is more like the OG IBM PC layout). This looks like from the PC-AT era?
