Is it possible to put a solenoid in a unicomp model m?

You would need a custom controller and firmware in addition to the solenoid driver.

I have this project:

Demo:

And another demo with the solenoid clicking on the desk:

Unfortunately it can't currently be built at JLCPCB, due to the microcontroller being out of stock, but I have some spare boards. I want to test depositing some carbon powder aerosol on the pads, and after that I'll sell a few in exchange for donation to a charity.

yes
Would you be willing to add a link to the appropriate section for the firmware to the readme on the controller’s repository?

Yes, sure, I'll update the readme section once it's merged.
For now I still have to do some refactoring work until it can be merged.
