Hi to all
My two model M's (101 and 122) are needing a deep cleaning. Some keys feel "hard" also, so I'm thinking in lubricate stems (not springs). I've found no clear information about lubricate this kind of keyboards, beyond some extreme "lube mods". I have a krytox 205 lube, but I don't know if it's compatible with nylon stems.
Years ago I used a standard silicon based spray lube for some large keys (shift, right enter...) little bar, and worked fine, but I think this is not a very orthodox way to do.
Probably, only cleaning stems and holes, keyboards will feel smoother but...
Some advice?
Thanks in advance.

I think it's generally advised to not lube Ms. The contact area between stem and barrel is pretty large so any grease inside will cause noticeable damping. Anything thin enough to not damp could seep down into the membrane.
I've revived some very scratchy Ms with just a good cleaning though. When screw modding I soak everything in warm soapy water for a while. The stems get ultrasonic cleaned and I scrub the barrels out with a pipe cleaner.
