Daniel Beardsmore mentioned these two types, but I couldn't find anything about them on the wiki.
Could someone please provide pictures of the difference, and an explanation?
I have several kbds with black Alps switches, and none of them feel or look exactly the same on the switches, unless it is 2 of the same keyboard.
Sorry, still learning!

Thank you! You guys are always so helpful!
Would it be helpful on my listings if I differentiated between the two types?

Probably. You also need to watch out for “simplified” (“Fuhua”, made by Forward Electronics) black Alps switches, which look quite similar to the “bamboo” type from the outside; to differentiate them you need to look at the lettering on the top housing (or open them up). http://deskthority.net/wiki/Alps_SKBL/S ... ecognition
