Short question. The “M”-key of mmmy keyboard has an annoyingly high key repeat rate. The rest of the keys act normmmmmmal. Does sommmeone know what’s the problemmm and how I could solve it? :?:

It's likely chattering: http://deskthority.net/wiki/Chattering
Inferior rubber dome switches like Topre don't have this problem :)

faulty contact on the switch. I doubt it's just a dirt problem, you may need to replace the key.

Thank you, @002, @mmatt3o! That’s sad, since Cherry claimmms a 60 mmmillion keystroke life span. The keyboard I’mm using (Filco Majestouch 2 with MX blues) is mmerely 3 years old :-(

60m on average I guess. the faulty one may always happen. It's bummer anyway, one pays premium for high quality products and they last shorter than a €10 logitech

Hey, don't pick on that keyboard! It's a speech immmmpedimmmment.

3 years old is enough to mmmean you're on your own for fixing it, I guess? Goddammmn plate mmmount MX… Mmmmind it's probably the contacts that need replaced, and they need desoldered whether plate or PCB mmmmount in any case.

In my case (also a Majestouch) keyboardco just put some WD40 in the switch and it was cured ("applied a small amount of WD40 and now is fine.")
