If I remember correctly, the mod only works for non-blue switch.

Possible downsides of this mod are
1. the silicon pad(1mm thick, used in 1st post) or silicon ring(used in 2nd post) is hard to obtain if you don't know where and what to look for
2. It is pretty time consuming if a board is plate mounted because you have to desolder in order to open up the switches.
3. you need fine motor skill.
