QTC for switches?

Hello everyone! I've stuck with my trusty companion, the K120 for a long time now (honestly, other keyboards just seem to not be able to keep up with my furious typing).
I had a thought though, regarding a more recent material, Quantum Tunnelling Composite (QTC). To sum it up simply, normally it doesn't conduct, apply pressure and it conducts. I've looked at it in the past for other things such as a light switch and so on, however I was wondering if anyone had ever done it with a keyboard. I failed to find any results of a QTC Keyboard via google and it just seems unfathomable that nobody else has created one as it would undoubtedly be more durable then many other keyboards (perhaps only paralleled by hall effect ones?) The other benefit is you could have an incredibly short keystroke with it (or just implement a single string for a deeper keystroke).

Obviously, it wouldn't provide much feedback, some perhaps from the pressure applied, which may be a downside to it...

Thoughts?
