Whist i think it would have been better with some nice vintage blacks.
Saving such an cool keyboard form the horror of MX brown is good in my book.

Eh, I'm okay with it. Even vintage Browns didn't impress me much when I tried them. The caps look nice and, if you're lucky, you can get a consistent batch of Gaterons.

Very cool keyboard man. You ought to make a little video showing how those switches sound in that chassis. Those caps look great too.

From my knowledge, posts don't get deleted on DT. The OP took the image down.
Uhh, lol? I don't think anyone is saying that Cherry Brown is the best only that you took a fairly nice vintage keyboard and put some overpriced linears in it. I have a tester with a couple tealios in it and I can say that they are just some linears that are basically just as smooth as vintage blacks.I don't want to say anything.Because the foolish guys never know tealios. They may just say cherry brown switch is best.

The critics had nothing to do with brown switches, but with the fact that a nice vintage Cherry G80-5000 was show-off modded to death with MX clone switches, cyrillic keycaps - and even an artisan keycap on the ESC key
Basically, it's like taking a 1923 Ford model T and hot-rodding it like that:
And no, posts don't get deleted on DT.

I have a hard time to imagine switches where a gateron milky switch top is an upgrade.

As i said , its each to his own .
I cannot stand browns , some people love em.
It would be bloody boring if we all liked the best electro mechanical switch.
I mean it would drive the price of green alps even higher
