help replacing a couple broken keycaps

I posted about this in another thread but apparently it was too confusing. So I'm starting a fresh thread. I need to replace a few broken keycaps on my Rosewill cherry keyboard: (1) the numpad "Enter", (2) the numpad "Ins". Shipping will be high for a small order like this, so I wouldn't mind ...

Now I have a couple of broken key caps on my Rosewill Cherry keyboard. I tried both links above to look for individual printed keycaps, but not able to ascertain if they are selling this.

I need the "Enter" key on the num pad (2 high, 1 wide) and the "Ins" key on the num pad (1 high, 2 wide). I ...

replacement part

I need to replace a particular part on my Rosewill Cherry Blue keyboard, and not sure what it's called. You know how certain keys have the bar under them that swivels? And that bar connects into the key via some little white things that plug into the keycap and have a slot. I need to replace a ...

kbdfr, I haven't studied these links in detail yet, but your second link refers to space bar replacement. What about the Shift and Enter keys, which have much shorter stabilizers? Are they any different?

keycap replacement guide?

I'm trying to find a keycap replacement guide that would explain how to replace the shift key and other long keys that have the bars under them.

I was hoping to find a sticky thread here, but I don't see one (I hope I didn't miss it).

I googled "mechanical keyboard keycap replacement" and found a ...

I use software with a LOT of keyboard shortcuts, so it may not be that easy to keep two different sets in mind while switching often between the two OS's. Well, I am not sure yet how different they are. I use emacs and a music typesetting program called Sibelius, plus a lot of custom key macros. On ...

I don't know if it's as simple as using the Windows layout on OS X, where the apps have their own conventions for key layout. Maybe there is some simple mapping. Maybe if you just change the positions of the Alt and Windows keys, and keep using the same apps in OS X, it will work out. But Mac ...

possible to get windows keyboard to function with os x?

I recently purchased a Macbook Pro. So far I am using Windows 10 rather than OS X, with my Rosewill keyboard (which I guess is a Windows keyboard -- I don't remember selecting Windows or Mac when I bought it). I am new to OS X but eventually want to make the switch. I tried booting up OS X and ...

We got a bit off topic, but I don't mind learning about Macbooks at all! Thanks everyone!

To follow up the power consumption question, I did a test with nothing plugged into my MSI (gaming) laptop except the mechanical keyboard, and the laptop's power configuration set to power saver, with screen ...

My understanding is that Apple has only one USB port on their latest laptops (USB-C). I need at least two USB 3.0 ports for my audiophile-quality audio playback plus at least one more port where I can attach a hub. By some criteria I should get a desktop, but my space is limited, so why not use a ...

Yeah, I need to experiment. I shouldn't have even asked first. Sorry about that.

I discovered that I was using the "performance" power setting and had the screen brightness at max. So that may have contributed. I also had a USB hub and external USB drive attached at the same time as the keyboard ...

power consumption of Rosewill keyboard?

I just got a new laptop, an MSI GS60 6QD (gaming-type) and yesterday I took it to a coffee shop and plugged in my Rosewill mechanical keyboard. I was running on battery, and it seemed to drain awfully fast. (I am not sure, though, what the expected life is with this laptop.) Could it be that the ...

these are both Cherry Blue---why feel different?

I love my first Cherry MX Blue keyboard, a Rosewill Model RK-9000V2. However according to Amazon reviews it's not that robust, so I ordered a Filco Majestouch 2, Model FILCKF15, assuming it would come with blue switches as well. The Amazon description does not say Blue, but the reviewers confirm it ...
