OK, here are my impressions on the switches so far...


Alps Blacks: Very dirty and mushy feeling. It's as if there's something wrong with the switch. Just doesn't feel right. And I don't know if its just me, but the stroke length feels shorter then MX switches AND is a bit harder to press then MX ...

I got the package. Will have a review written up by tomorrow...

Yea I tried O-Rings on a brown switch and it feels very bad in my opinion. Just feels very mushy.

Just out of curiosity, are topres same as rubber domes when it comes to activation point? I mean MX Cherry switches activate when pressed @ 2mm. Is it the same or...?

And maybe use a dremel or something to shave off some of the innards of the mounted housing to allow for easier insertion of the legs? And then if the top part is not secure enough, maybe use ...

So I was thinking, swapping stems and springs is fairly easy on a PCB mounted keyboard, you just pop the top part of the switch housing by bending the legs out and vuala.
On a plate mounted KB you cant really do that because the legs have no where to go when you try to bend them to pop open the top ...
