Military Model M

Hi all,

Just hunting around on forums again, as you do, and I stumbled across this:

https://imgur.com/a/DVdcI7i

It's some form of military Model M, although I really don't know what the connector is on the end of it.

Any help would be appreciated.

Many thanks,

Reece.

What are Topre Switches Like?

Hi all, Just a question - I'm looking around for something TKL to sit on my desk, as I'm getting a little bored of the rotation of boards I've got now, and was wondering what Topre's switches feel like in comparison to the various MXs? This is a completely new area for me, so, any advice or opinions...

Doubleshot Keycaps

Hey all, As time passes, I'm becoming more active on here... Just a small question, amongst the large keyboard manufacturers (Logitech, Corsair, Coolermaster etc), how common would you guys say it is to find doubleshot moulded keycaps for RGB models? I'm writing a freelance review on the MadCatz Str...

Re: Model F Queries

They’re compatible with Model M caps. You can mix and match quite safely. But beware of funky sized keys on certain Model F layouts. XT: I’m looking at you, ya daftie. The one's I've been seeing and looking at are XT! It's a case of one of the ones I've found having a pretty broken Num Lock and fin...

Re: Model F Queries

So, I've been doing some digging and there are some Soarer's that ship to the UK without too much cost incurred on postage. I could make my own by the looks of things and being on the six week summer break gives me a fair amount of time. The two that are online are XT connections if that makes any d...

Re: Model F Queries

If you're up for a bit of soldering, you can assemble a converter yourself and flash Soarer's converter onto it. As far as I know, the cheapest and most readily available board that can be used is the Pro Micro and clones of it. That should be much cheaper than buying a prebuilt one from the US or ...

Model F Queries

Hey all, Once again, the IBM hunt continues and I've stumbled across a couple of Model Fs online. I'm not really privy to a lot of IBM stuff, having Dad (Robin to some of you!) work for CHERRY for the past twenty three years, and so wondered if you guys could help. Being based in the UK, it appears ...

Re: Model M Question

I mean, the listing is a corporate one if that makes any difference, and just reading the listing, it says they couldn't get hold of a converter to test it.

It looks in pretty good nick to be honest.

Model M Question

Hey all, Just a small question for all you lovely people - I'm trawling around on eBay on my usual Model M hunt and this cropped up: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/392336002007 - it seems pretty odd, and when searching up the model code on a spreadsheet I found, there's no real matches. It looks like it...

This keyboard managed to raise over $4 million on an Asian crowdfunding site, so it's popular for sure! The website for the people that produce this says it runs MX clones. So this isn't the same as the one that uses i-Rocks hybrid Alps/Cherry clone switches? It turns out they do haha, if you scrol...

I also like the idea, being a fan of LEGO too. Obviously, the keyboard must remain on your desk because frustration will ensue when moving this thing around! By the way, you could achieve the same thing with the IBM Model M bezel. The curved case creates a little wall above the function keys that a...

There was once a LEGO fad at a former workplace of mine. Hey everyone, snip Are White ALPS comparable to MX Blues for instance? (I'm a bit of a newbie haha so I apologise in advance) Thanks!
