Dear Oracle,

I'd like to find a keyboard with following features:
• 60% (or something like the Choc Mini)
• ISO-Layout or ANSI-Enter + Iso Shift
• Red's or Browns
• Backplate would be nice

After many years of letting my brother use my Filco TKL, I have to take it back from him and don't want to him left with only his 2.30$ MS-Tech Rubberdome, but with an helpful advise.
It should be cheap as fuark, so I don't want to make too many restrictions:

Stimmt, die untere Reihe unterscheidet sich ja bei Neo gar nicht von anderen Layouts (bis auf Mod4, aber die benutze ich sowieso nicht ) Dein Layout wäre dann ganz ohne Leertaste, oder geht die? Btw: Imstos Tasten sind im OEM-Profil?

Hm, ich find irgendwie alle Anordnungen irgendwie suboptimal. Konsequent fände ich einen Block aus vier mal vierzehn Tasten, plus sechs Daumentasten, alles in 1x1. Also nur Doppelspalt. Dann ist es sogar fast nicht mehr hässlich :D
Lässt sich natürlich hier so nicht durchsetzen.

Same here. Iso Enter + Ansi Shift unterstütze ich voll. Und vor nem Jahr hab ich ja mal grosspurig angekündigt das ich ab April diesen Jahres Zeit für den ganzen Kram hätte. Rausgekommen ist dabei ja eher weniger. Faulheit? — Wahrscheinlich :oops:

Naja, 100 Worte sind nicht so wirklich viel - um etwas über die Geschwindigkeit auszusagen. Wenn es Worte wie „Schallpegelmessgerät” waren ist die Geschwindigkeit groß, wenn es Worte wie „ich“, „bin“, „im” oder „er“ waren eher nicht so. Ich finde Anschläge pro Minute deswegen Aussagekräftiger ...

Die Buchstaben von Neo und Dvorak liegen ja ziemlich ähnlich. Zum Beispiel u i a e n r t s auf der Grundreihe. Da Dvorak für Englisch optimiert ist, gehe ich mal einfach davon aus, dass man in Englisch etwas effizienter damit arbeiten kann als mit Neo. Außerdem liegen imho bei Dvorak Komma und Punkt ...

Mein Bruder hat sich grade den kbdneo Treiber und ktouch runtergeladen.
Angeblich hat er schon ein paar Wörter getippt und macht jetzt die ersten paar Buchstaben bei ktouch :geek:

Davor hat er Qwertz 2 Finger genutzt mit vielleicht 120 Anschlägen. Im Moment ist er noch langsamer :D

Font on the Choc Mini must be Arial?

For me it is awful in written text, but I think in single capital Letters on Keycaps it does look verry clean.
I like it, especially in these gold brown on dark brown Caps..

Eventuell hilft ja ein Lernprogramm?

Jeden Abend ein Stunde und ich denke nach 2-3 Wochen kann man einigermaßen umsteigen. Danach muss man vielleicht auch nicht eine Woche ...

Naja, es geht ja nicht darum dass Veränderungen und Wachstum komplett schlecht sind. Aber in dieser Geschwindigkeit ist es eventuell ungesund, weil die Struktur das vielleicht einfach nicht hergibt (vielleicht auch schon, wir werden sehen).

Fakt ist doch, dass die meisten Neuanmeldungen sich nicht ...

Vielleicht wäre es sinnvoll gewesen, nach dem GH Zusammenbruch einen temporären Anmeldungsstop einzuführen?

First, do ‘hard use’ include some gaming sessions? Second, what is about other layouts like Dvorak or Neo?
I ask, because it strains the keyboard differently than normal typing in Qwertz.
