BTW: +1 on Cherry stabilizers (preferably clipped and lubed.)

Not so much because of ease of removal of keys but they help get rid of the "tick-tick-tick" that you sometimes get with slightly out of spec keycaps (space bars/stabilized keys/etc.)

Call me crazy but I'd rather see Mandarin characters on the keycaps than some bastardized version of English letters.

I don't see how RGB is a downside. I really despise backlit keyboards but you can just keep the LEDs off...

I'm sure this will be up for endless debate but for my personal reasons:

I've never typed on a hall effect keyboard but the "hype train" is that these are even more reliable/durable than ...

Why is a hard wired cable a plus?
I for myself like plugable more as I can use my own cables

Because first impressions matter. Based on aesthetics, low price, and the fact that it's made in China I have no confidence that any detachable hub specified for this board will be durable enough over ...

My wish list for the 60%:

1.   Eliminate the RGB.
2. Reduce size of the bezel.
3. Stick with standard 6KRO USB for maximum BIOS/OS compatibility. If someone has a problem with this please explain to me why you need NKRO.
4. While I prefer it come with no ...

I'm waiting to hear for future judgement calls from XMIT but I'm really interested in this; particularly the 60%.

I wish they would ditch the RGB and 26 keyroller (Non 6kro USB Standard) nonsense.

Can you ask about ordering keyboards without RGB or keycaps to save a few bucks?

The red is a limited production run - it will just be made in the early round. Some people are ordering an extra case in True Red. There might be some leftovers in the final round but no guarantees.

In some ways I understand your point of view. For some of us however this sucks. I don't know ...

will the red case option be available in the 2nd/final run?

I thought I was going for the dark grey but now that I seen the red ... now I'm derailed.

Warning - incoming "just got the keyboard - no long term usage" euphoria:

I just got one of these in the mail today. What a treat!

Absolutely the best keyboard I've ever typed on. 35g PLUM EC is where it's at for me. It feels so professional!

For $99 shipped from MechanicalKeyboards.com in the ...

vivalarevolución: what's the final verdict on the plum 84 layout now that you've used the 86u for a while? Do you use the 86u more often now?

Regarding the PLUM 84 I hope you might be able to assist me.

I've had problems in the past with other keyboards where the detachable cable eventually falls out of the channel. That by itself doesn't concern me; however I am worried that this will put strain on the hub itself.
