I had another go, because I realised that while I have mapped my ‘Scroll Lock’ key to ‘mod3’, I never use it anyways, so I might as well just map ‘Escape’ to ‘mod3’, which is otherwise unused (‘mod3’, that is; and then use ‘xcape’). So I did the following: $ cat .Xmodmap add Mod3 = Scroll_Lock $ xmo...

‘Update’: I just tried to remap my escape key to Super_L (via keycodes; escape is keycode ‘9’), and then just made my Super_L a Mod4 again. Obviously, this just removes my escape key, which doesn't help and prevents me from using xcape with it, but while both Super_L and my escape key were mapped to...

I'm on i3 and even when I have a winkey i keep it as that and use capslock as my wm mod. I guess it would depend on what keys you use for commands, I'm not familiar with xmonad, capslock works well for i3 because all the most used commands are on the right hand. Yes, Capslock would work well, inasm...

How to use tiling window managers with winkeyless keyboards?
Hi everyone, as far as I know there are a quite a few Unix/Linux people here that might use both old(er)/winkeyless keyboards and a tiling window manager. Thus, I thought I should try my luck here, after I tried to get help on reddit and unix.stackexchange.com, to no avail. I hope it's not off-topic...

Obligatory status update: I received the package today (in fact, I just got it from a neighbour who accepted it for me)! 1. This feels rather weird, but not necessarily bad. 2. Although the Board is currently in (some kind of) QWERTZ layout, which I normally use most of the time, I can't type for sh...

Concerning the AltGr key: I don't know whether Rimrul has changed the location of the AltGr key, but Daniel had the board beforehand and As a altgr-intl layout user I'm currently contemplating where I would put AltGr to enable the third layer. Probably bottom most single unit key. Have you tried tha...

Oh, sorry, I really don't know the difference. Do you know how to move this post to "Vendors subforum"? Thanks. I think only mods can do this. Maybe you could write a PM to one of the guys listed here ? Thanks for your comment. This is very helpfully for me. I should learn more about this forum. If...

Pfft. Fejsbook ... .. and you know there is a "Vendors" subforum so you don't have to post the thread here in "Discussions » Keyboards". Thankfully, the giveaway is done via Rafflecopter, where you only have to visit their Facebook page and don't need an account. While I kind of understand why they...

The Package arrived today. It's about 12*27*35cm and about 1.1kg Thanks! I guess that would make shipping (incl. tracking) within Europe about 10–15€? […] My point is, these caps with "no profile" (like someone says here) are artisans, what we usually define artisans, I definetely accept that people might not like them or that in general DT do not like them. I almost forgot that Canadians also get the short end of the stick with this. Using some Toronto zip code, shipping of the Pingmaster would still be US $46.22, which is even more ridiculous than US $57.62 to Germany, considering the US and Canada are right next to each other… I wonder whether it's a...
