I think the RSI from typing comes from the nerves in the hands and wrist. You have an advantage having strong drummer wrist. Carpal tunnel syndrome comes from compression on the bottom of the palm, typical of those who type without proper technique. By touch typing wrists floating in the air you avo...

Oh no I am not a luthier, I work in IT management and I am a musician (piano, guitar, uke, Stick Chapman etc.) I did restore my old Martin ukulele (from 1960) some years ago. I level the neck and fretted it and it was a real bitch! Just imagine 50 years old dried rosewood cracking and damaged when I...

I used a sheet of abrasive paper 120 grit than I spray with glue then pit it on an plywood large Planck. Then I use both hands to hold the body and sand like this on all sides. Then used 250 grit. I should still finish it with finer grain :) I like the touch of this so maybe I will not varnish. I th...

If you can type that fast with such a particular hand technique you will be very proficient if you learn to type the right way. Many tutorial on the web it seems, to begin. Everyday practice makes perfect. I learn with a DOS program called PCTAP like 25 years ago. Try to find a real good learning me...

DIY numpad, sized to match 60%
EDIT : I did the 60% keyboard too after I finished the numpad because I like it and had still spare rosewood from the little slab I bought : https://c1.staticflickr.com/3/2904/33371100233_9d2124eda9_k.jpg https://c1.staticflickr.com/3/2944/34024815172_0c1ffc3d19_k.jpg https://c1.staticflickr.com/3/2...

Wow, the 101 case is gorgea! Seems like the JTK sophomore is not on sale anymore... Are the chinese ones problematic? I see I will have to drill the plastic for the stabilizer posts to pass through, it's not that big of a deal I guess! The RF105 has a PCB that may not be compatible with the RF101 ca...

The answer lies in the question in itself. You say "good" or some say "ideal", and those are highly subjective terms defined to tastes, habits and your mood/the weather... Good quest nonetheless! I like very much vintage MX clears with GMK QMX clips! I received them from GMK themselves after the rec...

Thanks for all inputs. I won't clean the varnish then ^^ As for the led lens yes they are added after wards, it's as if they are socketed and cannot fall downward. I saw right away those are not triple shots but just really look at it now. The drilling technique is not so simple though. It doesn't s...

So I got this wonderful keyboard. I slightly cleaned the caps. I'd love to use it, hope someone got it figured out already ^^. Please someone could point me in the right direction to make this work! I don't want to just plug it in and fry something! The windowed caps are doubleshot! Never saw one li...
