I think so, but beam spring controllers see the opposite of a Model F controller. With the fly plate on the sensor, beam spring is unpressed but Model F is pressed. Good question, it would involve a serious amount of work for sure. Interesting. I will look forward to seeing modern layout beam sprin...

Oh yes, I meant Alps plate spring. It's interesting that it is between the MBS/SKCM white and CBS/SKCM blue. Too bad that not many keybords are available with the Alps plate spring. Thank you!

Chyros, how do you compare the feeling of Futaba to that of Alps leaf spring? I personally have not tried Alps leaf spring, but some people say it is lighter weight and has more pleasant clicking sound.

I could not find the image of Futaba click LED switch in our Wiki. I don't remember where I took this photo from, but it looks like this. Thicker rim around the slider, but they felt similar. futaba_led.jpg Cyan slider goes in and out faster than white slider. (left: cyan, right: white) cyan_and_whi...

Filco Zero TKL Not sure if it is still there, at about $60, and normally an agent will charge 10% + shipping which is not too expensive. https://2.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=2007.1000337.18.2.3lHjFl&id=541372059346 I saw this listing a long time ago. The image of the backside shows some scratches and ...

Not much diversity there. :P Agreed, I'd never buy that many of one switch unless indeed it was a very temping offer. In your case arkanoid, I'm curious if you encountered any differences in all those Alps SKCM blue switches of yours, and if so which? It was a result of several good deals. Regardin...

Is there any difference between MX red stem and MX black stem except their colors? They're no longer 'red'... No difference except the color. It's just money going into something unnecessary for me atm. Yes, it's not right spending money to something unnecessary, but we (or at least me :)) are stil...

I haven't pressed the switch that much hard as I was worried about damaging pcb. Some Futaba switches have a slider that is opened in the center, so it would be possible to access the rubber mat using that (cross-shaped) hole. I just checked two of my EAT-1010s. Earlier version has the opened slider...

Sejin seems to be the last company that produced Futaba switch keyboards. It is because they had a licence to produce Futaba switches, which was expired in ~2007. After years of no Futaba keyboard production, they made a last batch of SKM-1080 in 2007 just before the expiration. There's no more new ...

@Wodan
You like my keyboard? Build one and try it, your fingers will get healthy. ;)

@Hypersphere
I don't have that many now as I said. Mostly sold or used up. Futaba is good, but lack of custom pcbs and keycaps makes them hard to enjoy nowadays

I voted Philips for simplicity, but I would have voted Torx with security bits if it was in the option, so nobody can touch my MF.

The sole purpose of making counterfeits is to make money, whoever made those keyboards, why they chose Blue Alps? Wasn't cheaper altanative available at the time? Blue ALPS switch was a common clicky switch at that time. Most other switches were linear (except Cherry blue? Not sure when Cherry blue...

I previously desoldered blue alps switches on this board. I only had the pcb at that time, so I had no idea what the name of the board is, and now I know it. :)
I think it's a fake Model M. Long stem function keys were interesting, but I discarded all the keycaps as there were so many broken ones.
