Yes and no. I'm working on the case atm. I want to get an usable keyboard with plate and bottom case assembled as a unit rather than a bunch of poorly fitted keys as it makes pulling out onto the desk to hack on it much easier. The basic keyboard functions are done with the new toolchain, nothing fa...

Ok wow, that is even more programmability than I would have imagined. Is it all done through external tooling or when you say you can do it on the fly you can record a macro directly on the tipro? If that is the case I can imagine the syntax for the programming would include notation to denote delay...

Think I found something somewhat interesting. I simplified the sketch to a more bare bones version (just repeatedly sending queries, not reading responses). When I connect keyboard-in to my pin on the teensy, it's pulling the line high and keeping it there (can't see any more queries come through)....

additionally you could do something like toggling an output pin on readkbd() and setting another pin with data and hooking it up to your logic analyzer to check the timing and to see if the right number of bits are actually being read in correctly and compare with the kbdout out signal(use. While it...

Tiproman, Tiproman, Tiproman.
https://deskthority.net/resources/image/33822 [...] As you were saying? ~250 keys *4? I think the reasons and methods would be enlightening. Edit: Original dumb Q's: Example: A surprise to me is that the Tipro programmability is more sophisticated than I had assumed as you can put a cursor in betwe...

Have you confirmed that there are no extra key presses? Yes, I'm 99% sure there are no key presses because even if I detach the membrane it behaves exactly the same. Well I've clearly lost my mind because I just purchased a CIT326 terminal in hopes that it's compatible (and in hopes that it is rese...

Only in combination with hydrogen peroxide 3% and UV light but it worked great. Satisfying bubbles of retrobrite goodness. It was my understanding the Sodium Percarbonate (N...

yeah I could see that mess it up, maybe. But since we really don't know for sure what the physical interface it using, just guesses, it is really hard to tell. Have you confirmed that there are no extra key presses? Being able to send some commands to the keyboard leds is promising, but not conclusi...

does it flow out to the connectors? I was only able to get it to work when I connected directly to the pins on the IC. And even then it's being very strange. 75% of the time when I plug it in it does the polling for about 4 messages and then stops. A small portion of the time (okay probably way les...

Darn, I had a lead on four more of these keyboards but it turned out to be an inventory error. Why is this particular terminal so obscure?! all just a guess: Product timing with competing technology, PC terminal emulation, token ring, ethernet, mulitdrop networks etc. To paraphrase a grey bea...

I'm looking forward to reading that manual that hasu posted but some of it is a bit over my head at this point. What are the novel characteristics about that interface? Is it the use of pulse width modulation, the host constantly sending a status byte, something else, or a combination of things? Ag...

looking at the bidirectional interface, its very clever, but I can't help but think why oh why did they just not use 1 extra wire and save all the fuss. My current thinking is that it doesn't play by the same rules as the LK201/LK401 keyboard but that this is on the right track. My reasoning for this is because when you plug in those other boards, they send a 4 byte sequence to initiate a handshake. When I plug in this board, it sends nothing until...
