should be left stemmed. I will check. Just asking - new keyboards (Ducky, CM Storm - at least) have center stems for caps lock, right? Yes, pretty much any board will have a center stemmed Capslock. But Cherry boards have Off-Centered switches for capslock (and many custom keyboards that are design...

Not on a stock plate mounted keyboard, no.

That is why with lubing the switch I also mean to oil the springs, not only greasing the sliders.Muirium wrote:I'm not sure why lubing would reduce the sound. The energy all comes from the spring

Re: WASD v2 vs Filco, both TKL
The Celeritas has a plate, too.
From my experience all plate
mounted keyboards I have used so far have these ringing sounds. Although some more, others less.
But for me lubing the switches gets rid of that. It is quite some effort on a stock plate mounted board though.

Re: AW: IBM SSK club!
I totally agree. My kishsaver would have a split right shift now if it was that way.Muirium wrote: The key I'd most like to shrink is right shift. It's too big on ANSI and ISO, just the same. If only IBM had the single unit part on its right side instead of the left. That would have been a perfect place for Fn.

I don't know. Has anyone bought a new Cherry board this year already?
